This song coriginated from the movie Dil Apna Aur Preet Parai (1960) sung by Lata Mangeshkar with the music given by Shankar-Jaikishan. This song has been used in the 2013 Bollywood movie Bombay Talkies. It is one of those songs that bears some similarity with the popular western music compositions. I may not be singing the song well, but thought it would be interesting to play it in finger picking style on an acoustic guitar. In this song, I have played first two verses in picking style and follow it up with the final verse in strumming the same chords. The song is based on F key; however, I am playing in D key with a capo on 3rd fret to match with the original key. The song uses 4 chords: D, Em, G and A.
