In this guitar lesson, Steve Stine shows you how to create any scale you want simply by expanding the minor or major pentatonic scale to whatever you want. Steve also shows you how to practice it in one position on the guitar, AND explore the sounds of that scale using the 6th string as a drone to practice over.

When you learn to “explore” the colors of different scales, you can then learn to use them in your playing, your songwriting, and your solos, but you first need to spend some time learning what they sound like, and what works best for your musical situation.
